Buying a New Home
Hiring A Realtor For A Site-Unseen Purchase
In the state of North Carolina, you are able to purchase a home without physically seeing it. Your REALTOR is able to write up your contract and use Docusign to get the paperwork signed and submitted for approval to the seller. We must have attorney's do the final paperwork in North Carolina, and thus, they will be the ones who send you your closing package for final signatures on closing day.
This process is more common in military communities where families are relocating in from overseas or cross country. Sometimes, the money isn't there to make a special trip to physically tour homes and find the perfect one. Site-unseen is for you. It can be very stressful, but many times, has to be done.
A good REALTOR will make sure you know as much as there is to know about the property, to include getting the needed inspections and proper documentations made. Pictures and video are also a great way to get familiar with a neighborhood or house. I do a lot of research for my clients when they MUST purchase site-unseen. I also will take video and many pictures to assure that they get a full effect of their new location.
